Note: Completing our 5th grade program (Arrow of Light) takes six months minimum participation. 5th graders interested in joining January 2025 or later may want to join a local troop instead. Den Meetings
Tuesdays, starting Aug 27 | 7-8pmFirst through fifth grade dens (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, AOL) meet weekly. Lions will meet regularly only one week a month other than pack meetings. All dens may choose to occasionally meet outside of regular den meetings for small outings.
Popcorn Fundraising
Kickoff - Tuesday, Sep 10 | 7-8pmSaturdays & Sundays, Sep 14-Oct 6Our popcorn fundraiser helps our unit raise enough funds above and beyond dues to cover various unit expenses so that we can have a great program and keep individual costs low. We also use the fundraising to lower costs for scouts to go on a special spring trip.
Our popcorn kickoff will tentatively be during our Sep 10 meeting, from 7-8pm. We'll be selling popcorn at local businesses on Saturdays and Sundays in September and October. See more information at Popcorn.
Pack Meetings
Last Tuesday of Month (generally) | Regular, 7-8pm; Pot lucks 6:30-8pmThe last Tuesday of most months is reserved for the whole pack to gather, usually with crafts and games, and to award scouts any awards they've achieved since the last pack meeting. Occasionally, pack meetings will include a pot luck dinner and start at 6:30pm. Keep an ear out during den meetings and in your inbox for announcements on upcoming pack meetings and if it will be a pot luck.
Next Pack Meeting - Oct 29, 7-8pm
Costs
Find out more about Costs here, including how to pay online.
What to Expect Weekly
Our scouts (K-5th) meet regularly (weekly for 1st grade and above) for 1 hour in groups by grade-level and gender. Kindergarteners meet once a month. Additionally, once a month, all groups meet together. The groups are called dens and are generally labeled using animals.
Kindergarteners are Lions - Parent or guardian must join scout during meetings
1st Graders are Tigers - Parent or guardian must join scout during meetings
2nd Graders are Wolves
3rd Graders are Bears
4th Graders are Webelos (We'll be loyal scouts)
5th Graders are Arrow of Lights
Scouts should wear their uniform to each meeting when possible. Our pack requires shirt, neckerchief, and belt -- official pants, hat, and socks are optional. See more information about uniforms and patch placement.
Each den has a handbook containing information and adventures for the scouts to complete over the course of the program year. Using the cub scouting method, leaders and youth endeavor to build character, instill citizenship, and develop personal fitness. We go through a grade-level appropriate program with both required and optional units.
Monthly, the dens come together as a pack for a meeting to celebrate progress and interact across dens.
Every parent or guardian is encouraged to participate in the pack and den activities. Your skills are useful here! Talk to any leader or the Cubmaster for information on how you can help.
See our Resources page for more information.
